God only gives us what we can handle
Reflecting back through this past year, which obstacles, challenges or opportunities in disguise presented themselves to you?
For Terry & I we reflected on our four moves in four years. Pretty ridiculous, huh? So, we thought we’d do it one more time to make it five moves. But…this last move will be into our single-level forever home (before the forever, forever home)
From Autumn of 2023 until Autumn 2024, I experienced first the loss of someone most dear to me1. That sudden and unexpected loss was immediately followed by Terry’s painful and complicated facial surgery to remove basal & squamous cells2. Then reconstruction of his nose. One year later, he is still healing.
Then….we asked for a two-year lease and received a 60 day notice to vacant3.
Phewww… 🙁
How to embrace these challenges as “Opportunities in Disguise” for every test that you and I meet is for our Soul’s growth. There is always a silver lining to those ominous clouds that bear plentiful tidings. Rose Kennedy said: “After Every Storm, the flowers will grow”.
Below are just a few examples of how our flowers have grown.
- My sweet brother contacted me shortly after his ascension….I knew it was him.
- Through Terry’s healing it was very difficult for him to chew and swallow. New recipes for soft but nourishing foods and blender drinks satisfied his nutritional & hunger needs.
- Our previous property manager was actually the one who found us this rental and for $400 less a month!
- Orion, our sweet Certified Therapy dog makes many kids smile while performing his tricks for them. A win-win for everyone.
Permit me to leave you with this prayer that instills me with strength & patience.
Prayer: “Dear Father, whatever conditions confront me, I know that they represent the next step in unfoldment. I will welcome all tests because I know that within me is the intelligence to understand and the power to overcome” – Yogananda
Wishing you a Blessed day,
Terry & Linda
